what coco does
How Coco helps
Paid, left and coming up
Set your total, add each cost, and record payments as you make them. Coco shows your remaining budget and what's still owed on every line.
Never miss a payment
Give each payment a due date and it shows up alongside your tasks and calendar, so deposits and final balances don't sneak up on you.
Linked to your vendors
Budget lines connect to the vendor they're for, so the caterer's quote, deposit and balance all live in one place.
Keep the invoices
Attach invoices and receipts to each budget line. With Coco AI, upload a quote and Coco pulls out the prices and due dates for you.
step by step
How to set up a wedding budget
- Agree on a total first. Work out what you can spend together, including any family contributions, before you look at a single venue.
- Pick your guest count. It drives the biggest costs (venue, catering, rentals), so settle on a rough number early.
- Choose your top three priorities. Spend more on what matters most to you two, and less on the rest.
- Hold back a buffer. Keep around 5–10% unassigned for surprises. There will be some.
- Track real quotes, not guesses. Replace each estimate with the vendor's actual quote as it comes in, and record every payment.
read the fine print
Wedding costs couples often forget
Most budgets go over because of costs that weren't in the first quote. Ask every vendor about these before you sign:
- Service charges and gratuity, especially from caterers and venues
- Sales tax on food, drink and rentals
- Delivery, setup and breakdown fees
- Overtime if the reception runs late
- Cake-cutting and corkage fees
- Meals for vendors working the day
- Dress alterations
- Postage for invitations
- Marriage license fees
- Tips for vendors on the day
Comparing quotes per guest can hide these too. A caterer that looks cheaper per plate can end up costing more once staff and fees are added, so compare the total for your guest count.
